Since its inception in Summer 2005, English Department of this University has been a resourceful place for studying linguistics, English language and literature studies mainly for two reasons; firstly, it has got a steady growth of student population from various corners of the country and a few from overseas both in undergraduate and graduate levels and secondly, its faculty members’ professional care in nurturing student
Mission
1. To provide interdisciplinary and innovative approaches to literature and linguistics;
2. To guide students to reach a level of literary expertise through critical appreciation of literature;
3. To enhance quality teaching and research in the fields of education, media, culture and gender studies;
4. To instill moral values and ethical standards among all students in line with national culture and tradition;
5. To promote skills of high standard at different stages of learning so that learners can successfully compete at the global context;
6. To build students as skilled human resources to combat the challenges of the world and to create in them a social awareness about environment;
7. To evolve an education process that is oriented to creativity, practicability and productivity to develop in learners the qualities of leadership
