Message of Chairman
Welcome to the website of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at Southeast University (SEU), Tejgaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh, founded in the year 2002. This department started its journey from the Fall 2002 Semester. In this brief message, I wish to convey to you a sense of our department’s mission, vision, goals and the dedication of the faculties, officers, staff and students in carrying out our educational activities and in achieving our goals.
As the Chairman of the ICE Department, I am extremely fortunate to work with such a wonderful group of individuals who have common goals and commitments to improve teaching and research activities, to cut through the frontiers of Information and Communication Engineering field to benefit the nation, the society and the mankind at large.
We feel extremely proud that we are the first among all the private universities of Bangladesh to open up this department.
One of the main objectives of the ICE Department at Southeast University is to be recognized as the leading ICE Department in the country. Our distinguished faculty members play a major role in achieving this goal. They are dedicated educators who provide guidance and act as a role model for our students; active researchers with their work published in leading international journals and conference proceedings and committed professionals who participate in many activities within the community. ICE faculty members are involved in very exciting and diverse areas of research that include semiconductor electronics, device modeling, information and signal processing, communication engineering, instrumentation and control, microwave engineering etc. For this purpose, we have developed many laboratories related to this subject. We are very proud of our student body that has continued on the path of their predecessors in achieving recognition in national and international competitions.
The syllabus of the ICE Department covers a broad range of disciplines related to electronics, information, telecommunications, control systems, signal processing, coding theory etc.
