Entry Requirements for 4 years integrated BA (Hon’s) Program:


The entry requirement for 4 years integrated B.A (Hon’s) Program in the Department of Islamic Studies is a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or any other equivalent level of education with minimum CGPA 2.50 in both SSC & HSC level.

Admission Criteria for 4 years integrated BA (Hon’s) Program:

Admission into 4 years integrated B.A (Hon’s) Program in Islamic Studies is on a competitive basis. Candidates are selected for getting admission on the basis of past academic records, written tests, and/or a viva examination. A student of BA (Hon’s) program will have to complete 132 credit hours (44 courses) with minimum CGPA 2.50.

Admission Criteria for Post graduation Program:

The entry requirement for the M.A program is a Bachelor’s degree or B.A (Hon’s) in Islamic Studies from any recognized university.

Admission Process for Post graduation Program:

  • A student with a 4 year Bachelor’s degree will have to take 36 credit hours (12 courses) to complete postgraduate degree.
  • A student who completed Bachelor’s degree (pass) and who had Islamic studies as a subject of combination at their Bachelor level will have to take 66 credit hours (22 courses) to complete postgraduate degree.
  • A student who completed Bachelor’s degree (pass) and who did not have Islamic studies as a subject of combination at their Bachelor level will have to take another 9 credit hours (75 courses) to complete postgraduate degree.
