Celebration of 1st Anniversary of Department of Architecture, SEU Department of Architecture celebrated it’s 1st anniversary followed by a cultural program on 17 October 2011 in the Seminar Hall of Main Campus at Banani. Mr. Abdul Latif Siddique- Minister for Ministry of Textile and Jute ; Prof A.N.M Meshquat uddin- V.C (acting) South East university; Architect Mubasshar Hussain- President IAB, Md Rezaul Karim- Chairman , Board of Trustee SouthEast university and South Asia foundation were present at the occasion.

Seminar on Culture, Sustainability and the Built environment Department of Architecture, SEU organized a seminar on” Culture, Sustainability and the Built environment” on 13th August, 2011 at the Seminar Hall, Southeast University. The key speaker was Dr. Tasleem Shakur ,Editor of: Global Built Environment Review (http://www.edgehill.ac.uk/gber/)Sr. Lecturer ,Edge Hill University, Lancashire, U.K

Colloquium on Architectural education-followed by an exhibition of studio work Department of Architecture, SEU organized Colloquium on Architectural education-followed by an exhibition of studio work on 13th January2011. The Colloquium was addressed by Prof Nazrul islam , chairman ,UGC; Architect Bashirul Haq; Prof MAhbub Rahman , department of Architecture ,NSU; Prof Abu Saeed , department of Architecture, University. of Asia Pacific and Prof A.N.M Meshquat uddin- V.C (acting) South East university.

Study Tour at Historic -Sonargaon Architecture is a lateral learning education, where practical experience and knowledge is the key instrument to be a qualitative professional. So, the department of architecture, arrange regular study tour for students .As part of the this learning process a study visit at historic city of Sonargaon was arranged on 09.12.2011
