36 th Academic Council Meeting Held
The 36th Academic Council Meeting of Southeast University (SEU) was held on June 10, 2024, at the SEU
Conference Room. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of SEU, chaired the meeting. Dr.
Mohammad Nawaz and Advocate Kazi Md. Nurul Amin, Hon’ble Members of the SEU Board, External
Member Prof. Dr. M. Kaykobad, SEU Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Registrar Maj
Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed (Retd), and all other members of the Academic Council attended the
meeting.
In the meeting, key academic issues were discussed, and important decisions were made to shape the
future of the university.

CPDS Hosts Collaboration Meeting With Willof Construction, Inc. Japan
A collaboration meeting with the delegation team of Willof
Construction, Inc. Japan was held on 09 June 2024 at SEU Conference
room, Tejgaon, Dhaka. The team consisting of 3 top officials of the
company met the SEU top management. They included Hiroshi Tanaka,
CEO and President and Ryosuke Kanatani, Strategy Promotion Officer.
Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M. Mofazzal
Hossain, Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Director, CPDS and Chairmen of
Science and Engineering faculty were present during their visit. The
delegates introduced their organization and Honorable VC discussed
areas of mutual value. Later, the delegation team visited classes and
labs of the Architecture department accompanied by the department
chair.

CPDS Organized a Workshop Titled "Pursuing Higher study Overseas"
Department of Career & Professional Development Services (CPDS) organized a
workshop titled "Pursuing Higher study Overseas" on 06 June 2024 at SEU Campus,
Tejgaon, Dhaka. Prof. Dr. Hasnat M. Alamgir, Director of CPDS conducted the
workshop.
He went through the steps of applying for higher study including writing of
recommendation letters and statements of purpose (SOP). He also provided tips on
how to communicate with the professors.

SEU Faculty excel at International Conference
Dr. Kazi Tanvir Mahmud, Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Economics,
and Ms. Ruba Rummana, Associate Professor of the same department, represented Southeast
University at the 2nd International Conference on the Art of Social Changes from June 6-8,
2024, at Rabindra University, Bangladesh. Dr. Mahmud chaired a session and presented his
research paper titled "Women's Empowerment and Role of Microcredit in Improving Food
Security Status of the Women Borrowers: Perspective from Rural Bangladesh." His expertise
contributed significantly to the discourse on women's empowerment and food security.
Ms. Rummana presented her paper on "Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship
Development in Bangladesh," which earned the best paper award in her session. This accolade
underscores the impactful research being conducted at Southeast University. The participation
and recognition of Dr. Mahmud and Ms. Rummana highlight the university’s commitment to
addressing critical social issues through scholarly excellence. Their achievements bring honor to
Southeast University and reinforce its reputation in academic and research circles. Faculty
members from different universities and dignitaries from different organizations were also
present in the conference.

SEU Signs Service Agreement with United Hospital Limited
Southeast University (SEU) and United Hospital Limited (UHL) signed a Service
Agreement on 06 June 2024 at SEU Conference Room, Tejgaon, Dhaka.
Department of Career & Professional Development Services (CPDS) of SEU
organized the ceremony. Mr. Md. Rezaul Manik, General Manager & Head of CRD,
Syed Ashraf-ul-Masum, Manager, Corporate Communications & Business
Development and others were present on behalf of United Hospital Limited. Prof.
Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Pro VC,
Registrar, Deans, Secretary of BoT, Director, CPDS, Medical Officer and Deputy
Director, BCPR were present on behalf of Southeast University. The agreement
will build and support bilateral relationship between the two institutions on
preventive medicine and health service delivery.

Southeast University Holds Seminar on Kishor Gang Culture in Bangladesh
The Department of Law of Southeast University organized a Seminar titled “Kishor Gang Culture
in Bangladesh: Causes, Consequences and Countermeasures” on June 5, 2024 (Wednesday) at
the Multipurpose Hall of the University. Prof. Sheikh Hafizur Rahman Karzon, Professor, Faculty
of Law, University of Dhaka presented the key note paper in the Seminar whereas Dr. S. M.
Shameem Reza, Professor, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, University of
Dhaka and Dr. Kh. Mahid Uddin BPM (Bar), Additional IGP & Additional Police Commissioner
(Crime & Ops), Dhaka Metropolitan Police delivered speeches as discussants.
The speakers highlighted that kishor gangs in Bangladesh are causing serious concerns for
parents, educational institutions and law enforcement agencies and to combat kishor gang
culture we need strong laws and supportive families. Educational institutions and community
leaders can also play a crucial role in this regard. This Seminar was a part of institutional social
responsibility of Department of Law of Southeast University.
The seminar was chaired by Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean, School of Arts and Social
Sciences. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, the Vice Chancellor and Prof. Dr. M. Mofazzal
Hossain, the Pro Vice Chancellor of Southeast University also graced the occasion with their
active presence. Among others, Mr. Jahid Mustofa, Chairman, Department of Law, faculty
members of Law and other departments, high officials of SEU and vibrant law students
participated in the Seminar.

Webinar by the Young Economists of SEU (YES)
The Young Economists of Southeast University (YES) hosted a webinar on 29 May 2024,
discussing the "Cost-Effectiveness and Value of Information Analysis of the Intrapartum Use of
Sildenafil Citrate in Term Pregnancies in India." The webinar highlighted a study utilizing a
randomized controlled trial, which demonstrated that sildenafil citrate can reduce the risk of
operative births and emergency caesarean deliveries due to intrapartum fetal compromise. These
findings have the potential to significantly improve health outcomes for pregnant women in low-
and middle-income countries (LMICs). The study employed a decision-analytic Markov model
to simulate the costs and benefits over a two-year period starting from labor onset. Additionally,
a value of information (VOI) analysis was conducted to assess whether additional data from a
large trial in LMICs would reduce clinical decision uncertainty and offer a net monetary benefit.
The webinar saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students alike.

Study, Research and scholarship opportunities in Germany
An information seminar "Study, Research, and Scholarship Opportunities
in Germany," was organized by the Southeast University Language and
Literature Club. This event was graced by the presence of the
following resource persons: Md Mahmudul Hasan, Regional Officer,
German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Bangladesh and Ms. Mahima
Haque, Project Coordinator of Schools: Partners for the Future”
(PASCH) initiative of Goethe-Institut Bangladesh.
Nuzhat Afrin and Laizu Akhter, Moderator and Assistant Moderator of
the Southeast University Language and Literature conducted the
program. Over 150 students and others participated in the event. Shek
Arif Rahman, president of the Southeast University Language and
Literature Club managed the club volunteers. On behalf of SEU, Dr.
Hasanat M Alamgir, Professor and Director of CPDS thanked the guests
for providing all necessary information to SEU students on higher
study in Germany.

The 46th batch of the Department of Economics of Southeast University hosted a photo
exhibition titled “Amar Krishi, Amar Orthoniti” on 27 May 2024. The event was inaugurated by
the Vice Chancellor of Southeast University Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam.
The event was lively and engaging, featuring introductory speeches from the Vice Chancellor,
the Deans, and other faculty members. A cultural program highlighting the traditional
agricultural practices of Bangladesh was also held, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the
exhibition. The session was an enriching experience that celebrated the intersection of
agriculture and economics, showcasing the integral role of traditional farming in the country’s
economy.
The event was attended by the Prof. Dr. Md. Serajul Islam, Dean, Southeast Business School,
Prof. ABM Faroque, Dean, School of Science and Engineering, Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab,

Young Economists of SEU (YES) organized a seminar in collaboration with Marie Stopes Bangladesh
The Young Economists of SEU (YES) and Marie Stopes Bangladesh jointly organized a seminar titled
"Empowering Women through Reproductive Healthcare" on 15 May 2024 at the Southeast University
campus. The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including Dr. Rahana Sardar Poly, an
expert in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Sumona Ferdous, a leader in clinical quality assurance, and Dr.
Sheikh Shaila Parvin, a consultant in obstetrics and gynecology.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from many female students, underscoring the
importance and relevance of the topics discussed in a commendable gesture. Furthermore, Marie
Stopes announced the appointment of campus brand ambassadors, marking a significant step towards
sustained engagement and advocacy for women's health.
The seminar was attended by Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean of the School of Arts and Social
Sciences, Dr. Kazi Tanvir Mahmud, Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Economics,
Ms. Fahima Kabir, Lecturer and Coordinator of the Department of Economics, and Ms. Sukhtara

Southeast Movie and Drama Club hosts Rabindra Jayanti 2024
Southeast Movie and Drama Club (SMDC) celebrated Rabindranath Tagore’s 163rd
birthday and welcomed its new members on 19 May 2024 at SEU Campus, Tejgaon,
Dhaka.
Prof. Dr. Md. Mofazzal Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Southeast University
inaugurated the event by lighting lamps, and emphasised the importance of
Tagore’s works in his speech. Prof. Dr. Md. Serajul Islam, Dean, Business School,
Prof. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean, School of Arts & Social Sciences and Ms. Nafisa
Ahsan Nitu, Assistant Professor, Department of English delivered speeches, urging
the students to explore Tagore’s ideas and to be inspired by them. In the
orientation programme, the members of the club showcased their talents through
different cultural performances.
With the guidance of SMDC Moderator Ms. Nafisa Ahsan Nitu, Assistant Professor,
and Assistant Moderator Mr. Md. Rifat Ahmed Riyad, Lecturer, Department of
English and the active participation of SMDC members and guests, Rabindra Jayanti
2024 was a success!

Seminar on "Cadence-VLSI Tools and Design"
The Department of EEE at Southeast University organized a seminar on "Cadence-VLSI Tools and Design" on May 16, 2024. Prof. Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Pro Vice Chancellor of SEU, graced the event as the Chief Guest and delivered an invaluable speech.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Nahid Akhter Jahan, Chairperson
of the EEE department. The keynote address on Cadence-VLSI software was delivered virtually
by Dr. Jahangir Dewan, President and CEO of sBIT Ltd BD and sBIT Inc USA. The seminar was
attended by faculty members and enthusiastic students of the department.

CPDS Organized a Training Program for Administrative Staffs
Department of Career & Professional Development Services (CPDS) of Southeast
University (SEU) organized a four-day long training program for the administrative
staffs from 8-9 May and 15-16 May 2024 at SEU Campus, Tejgaon, Dhaka. The
title of the program was "Business Writing". Prof. Dr. Hasnat M. Alamgir, Director
of CPDS conducted the training. The objective of the training is to demonstrate
the written communication skills required in the workplace and to understand
and express ideas in written format.
Maj Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed, SPP, psc
(Retd), Registrar, and Air Vice Marshal M Abul Bashar (Retd), Additional Registrar
inaugurated the session. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of SEU
attended the final day and distributed certificates among the participants.

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam Joins as VC of Southeast University
Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam joins Southeast University (SEU) as the Vice
Chancellor on 19 May 2024 upon the appointment by the Honorable President of Bangladesh and Chancellor of SEU, Mohammed Shahabuddin for a four-year term.
Professor Islam has more than 46 years of teaching, research, and administrative
experience at different institutions in Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, and
Malaysia. Previously, he held significant roles such as Vice Chancellor at Daffodil
International University and Dean of Engineering at Independent University of
Bangladesh. He worked as an adjunct professor at Open University Malaysia
(OUM) and Associate Professor and chair of Computer Science and Engineering at
BRAC University.
He contributed to the development of each of the institutions he worked for. As a
team player Prof. Islam seeks cooperation and support of all colleagues towards
development of the University.

Southeast University Hosts an Eye Camp
A day-long eye camp was organized by the Bangladesh Eye Hospital at Southeast University
campus on 13 May 2024. Southeast Pharmacy Club and the Department of Career &
Professional Development Services (CPDS) planned the event and provided necessary logistical
support.
The accomplished eye doctors and professionals from the Bangladesh Eye Hospital
provided free-of-cost eye care services to around 500 students, faculty, and staff. The services
included comprehensive vision tests, assessments for refractive errors, and cataracts, and
evaluation for other common eye conditions.
The event was attended by dignitaries including Professor Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Vice-
Chancellor (Acting) of SEU, Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Adviser to the SEU Trust, Prof.
Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering along
with Registrar, Additional Registrar, Deans of various schools, Departmental Heads, and other
high-ranking officials. On behalf of the university Dr. Hasnat M Alamgir, Director of CPDS
thanked the Bangladesh Eye Hospital for its firm commitment to protecting student wellbeing
and providing noble service to the society.

Southeast Computer Club organized Battle of Bytes eSports Tournament
Southeast Computer Club organized Battle of the Bytes eSports tournament in association with
Bangladesh Youth Development and eSports Association (BYDESA) on 8 th May 2024 at SEU
Campus, Tejgaon, Dhaka.
The grand finale, held on May 7th on the university campus, saw ‘SEU Underdogs' claiming
victory in the Valorant division, defeating ‘DeathWish’ with a score of 2-0 points. In the EA FC 24
category, Arman Kayes took the championship followed by Mahin Uddin and Al Amin Md Tanvir
as first and second runners-up respectively.
The prestigious event welcomed esteemed guests, including Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin,
Honorable Advisor, BOT, Southeast University Trust as the Chief Guest and Mr. Md. Nafiul
Islam, Head of Production, Bangladesh Youth Development and Electronics Sports Association
(BYDESA) as the Special Gues.

Working behind the Development of Women Entrepreneurs of Bangladesh -The Case for Missing Middle”
The Economics department at Southeast University (SEU) hosted a research adda on 2 May
2024, featuring a presentation titled "Exploring the Underlying Factors Influencing the Progress
of Women Entrepreneurs in Bangladesh - Investigating the Missing Middle Phenomenon" by
Ms. Ruba Rummana, an Associate Professor of Economics at SEU. All the faculty members of
the department were present at the research adda. The event was graced by distinguished guests
including Prof. Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Vice-Chancellor (Acting) of Southeast University, and
Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences, alongside Dr.
Farhana Ferdousi, Director of the Institute of Research & Training at SEU. Dr. Kazi Tanvir

Southeast University Trust Holds 131st Board Meeting
The 131st meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Southeast University was held on
Monday, April 29, 2024 in the BoT Conference Room at the university's campus in Tejgaon. Mr. Rezaul Karim, Chairman of SEU Trust presided over the meeting.
The Board members discussed various academic and administrative issues and took important decisions. They provided valuable guidance to the university's management, reviewed the progress of various activities, and focused on the university's future plans.

Prof. M. Mofazzal Hossain made Pro VC of Southeast University
Southeast University (SEU) of Bangladesh and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)
have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen international
collaboration in academics and research. The agreement was celebrated at SEU's
conference room in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on 18 April, 2024, marking a significant milestone in
fostering global academic partnerships.
The Vice Chancellor of SEU Prof. Dr. AFM Mafizul Islam and The Vice Chancellor of UKM
officially signed the agreement on behalf of their respective Universities. Dr. Farhana
Ferdousi, Director of SEU's Institute of Research & Training (IRT), and Dr. Md Khan
Sobayel Bin Rafiq, CEng (UK), Senior Lecturer & Research Fellow at UKM's Solar Energy
Research Institute (SERI), played instrumental roles in initiating and presenting the MoU on
behalf of their universities.
The ceremony was attended by esteemed dignitaries including Professor Dr. Mofazzal
Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor of SEU, Professor Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Adviser to BOT
at SEU, along with Registrars, Deans of various schools, Departmental Heads, and other
high-ranking officials. It was a cheerful occasion, marking the beginning of a fruitful
collaboration outlined in the MoU.

Prof. M. Mofazzal Hossain made Pro VC of Southeast University
Professor Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, SM IEEE, has been appointed Pro Vice Chancellor of Southeast University (SEU). SEU's Chancellor and Honorable President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mohammed Shahabuddin appointed him for this position for four years.
Professor Hossain brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role. He has more than 30 years of teaching, research and administrative experiences at different universities home and abroad. He has previously held significant roles such as Dean of the School of Science and Engineering at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering at East West University. Prior to these appointments, he served as Head of the EEE Department at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, and undertook research roles at prestigious institutions like Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan and Kanazawa University, where he was a JASSO fellow.
Professor Hossain's appointment is a significant milestone for Southeast University. His leadership and academic credentials would undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and success of the institution.

Director of IRT Attended International Conference in Thailand
Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, the Director of the Institute of Research and Training (IRT), recently
graced the esteemed International Conference held at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)
in Thailand on April 1-2, 2024. This significant gathering drew scholars, researchers, social
entrepreneurs, and policymakers from around the world, converging to delve into pioneering
strategies for advancing social business research objectives, methodologies, and priorities.
Dr. Farhana played a pivotal role during the conference, engaging in two panel discussions
focused on "Social Business Research – Objectives, Methodologies, and Priorities" and
"Progressing Social Business Research: Approaches and Action." Her contributions added depth
to the discourse, fostering an environment of knowledge exchange and collaboration among
attendees.

safe, affordable, and sustainable mobility ecosystem to address the family mobility needs in

Seminar on "Teachings of Ramadan"
Institute of Research & Training (IRT) hosted a seminar on "Teachings of
Ramadan" in collaboration with Career & Professional Development Services
(CPDS).
The Institute of Research & Training (IRT) and Career & Professional Development
Services (CPDS) jointly organized a seminar on "Teachings of Ramadan" on 20
March 2024, in Room 215. Led by Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam from the
Department of CSE, the seminar delved into the spiritual significance of Ramadan
as outlined in the Holy Quran. Participants gained insights into its teachings
through a research-oriented approach.
The seminar also featured a discussion on the health benefits of fasting, led by
Professor Hasnat M. Alamgir, CPDS Director. Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, IRT Director,
moderated the session, ensuring a smooth flow of dialogue and exchange of
ideas.
The event provided attendees with a deeper understanding of Ramadan's
teachings from research mindset.

Iftar Mahfil Organised by the Department of English
The Department of English of Southeast University hosted an iftar mahfil on March
24, 2024, with an impressive participation of approximately 300 attendees at the Cafeteria of Southeast University. Among the distinguished guests were Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, the honorable Advisor to the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences, and Ms. Aliya Shahanoor Ameen, Chairperson of the Department of English, alongside the
other esteemed faculty members.
The event commenced promptly at 5:20 PM with a warm welcome from Dr.
Muhammad Tofazzel Hossain, the program's convener, setting the stage for an
evening filled with joy and reflection. Following the opening remarks, a recitation
from the Holy Quran added a reverent touch to the proceedings. Afterwards, Ms.
Aliya Shahanoor Ameen, the Chairperson of English, expressed gratitude and
recognition to a student for selfless aid to a peer who had suffered an accidental
injury, exemplifying the spirit of compassion within the department. The honorable
Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin and Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab contributed
insightful reflections, commending the department for its initiatives and emphasizing
the strong bonds fostered within the academic community.
As dusk settled, participants came together in breaking their fast in an atmosphere
filled with serenity and fellowship, marking the conclusion of a memorable and
harmonious event. The iftar mahfil not only provided a platform for spiritual

SEU English Department Organized Annual Picnic 2024
On the sunny day of March 3rd, 2024, the Department of English at Southeast University
embarked on a memorable journey to Shohag Polli Resort in Gazipur for a delightful picnic.
Brimming with excitement, around 200 students and esteemed faculty members participated
in the event.
The day unfolded with delectable snacks and a hearty lunch, energizing everyone for the
exciting events ahead. Various games added an element of friendly competition, fostering
camaraderie among the participants. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the cultural
program, where both the students and the faculty members captivated the audience with
mesmerizing performances.
The presence of esteemed guests, Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Advisor to the Board of
Trustees, Air Vice Marshal M Abul Bashar (Retd), Additional Registrar, Dr. Md. Abdul
Hakim, Professor of Economics and Director of IQAC, Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean
of the School of Arts and Social Sciences, along with other distinguished added grace and
significance to the event.
As the day progressed, excitement peaked with a thrilling raffle draw, where the prizes were
eagerly awaited and joyously received. Behind the scenes, Assistant Professor Homayra
Binte Bahar, the convenor of the organizing committee, worked tirelessly to ensure the
success of the event.
In retrospect, the picnic was not just a day of leisure, but a celebration of unity, talent, and
gratitude. It was a day that will be fondly remembered by all who attended, leaving behind
memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Southeast University Celebrates Independence Day
Southeast University (SEU) commemorated the 104th birth anniversary of the Father of the
Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and celebrated the 53rd Independence Day
of Bangladesh with a profound Discussion Program titled "Bangabandhu & Independence
Day" and a vibrant cultural program on March 27, 2024, at the permanent campus in
Tejgaon, Dhaka. Prof. Dr. AFM Mafizul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Southeast University,
presided over the program, while Md. Nazrul Islam Khan, Curator at the Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum, graced the event as the
Chief Guest. Nasima Begum, Former Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Women and
Children Affairs and Former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC),
attended the program as a Special Guest. Additionally, Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin,
Adviser, Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean, School of Arts and
Social Sciences, delivered insightful talks.

The speakers highlighted the context of the great liberation war in their discussion, paying
tribute to the martyrs of the liberation war. They also urged the young generation to be
inspired by patriotism.

Department of Economics Organized a Seminar on “Empowering Women: Role of Land Ownership”
The Department of Economics, Southeast University (SEU) successfully organized a Seminar on
“Empowering Women: Role of Land Ownership” on March 14, 2024 (Thursday). In this seminar
a paper titled “Impact of Land Ownership on the Food Security Status and Decision Making
Capacity of Rural Poor Women: Evidence from Bangladesh” was presented by Dr. Kazi Tanvir
Mahmud on behalf of the Department of Economics, Southeast University. Shamema Ferdous
Mili, Advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court and Legal Advisor to the Chittagong Cantonment
Board served as the chief guest of the session. Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Advisor to the
Board of Trustees, Southeast University Trust also graced the session. Prof. Dr. Md. Shirajul
Islam, Dean, Southeast Business School and Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean, School of
Arts and Social Sciences were also present. Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Hakim, Director IQAC
delivered the welcome speech. Prof. Dr. AFM Mafizul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Southeast

IRT Hosted a Seminar on Bioinformatics in Collaboration with the Department of Pharmacy
Institute of Research and Training (IRT) recently hosted a seminar titled "Bioinformatics" on
March 11, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., in partnership with the Department of Pharmacy. The event aimed
to provide insights into the educational landscape of bioinformatics and pharmaceutical sciences,
offering valuable opportunities for academic and research pursuits.
The seminar served as a vital platform for education and networking, fostering collaboration and
advancing knowledge in the fields of bioinformatics and pharmaceutical sciences. Mr.
Mohammad Uzzal Hossain, Senior Scientific Officer (current charge) and Divisional In-charge
of the Bioinformatics Division at the National Institute of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science
and Technology, delivered the keynote speech. With his extensive experience, Mr. Hossain
provided invaluable insights into the latest developments in bioinformatics.
The session, inaugurated by Professor Dr. ANM Mequat Uddin, Adviser BOT, witnessed
enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The presence of distinguished
guests such as Professor Dr. Hasnat M. Alamgir, Director of CPDS, Professor Dr. Arun Kanti
Guha, Treasurer SEU, and Dr. Siddiqul Islam, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy,

Department of Economics Retreat 2024 Recap!
The Department of Economics at Southeast University (SEU) hosted its Annual Retreat on March 4,
2024, amidst the scenic Meghbari Resort in Gazipur. With 120 enthusiastic participants including
students, faculty, and staff, the day was packed with fun-filled activities, fostering a sense of
togetherness and camaraderie among us all.
From engaging games to captivating cultural performances and even a thrilling raffle draw, every
moment was cherished. We were honored to have Dr. Md. Abdul Hakim, Professor of Economics and
Director of IQAC, grace us with his presence as a special guest, adding to the joy of the occasion. Special
thanks to Dr. Kazi Tanvir Mahmud, Chairman, Economics Dept. for his impeccable leadership as the
Convener of the organizing committee, ensuring a seamless experience for all. This retreat wasn't just a
getaway from the routine; it was a platform for forging connections and creating unforgettable

SEU's IRT Hosts Seminar on Opportunities and Challenges of Higher Education and Research in Japan
The Institute of Research and Training (IRT) of Southeast University recently held a seminar
titled "Opportunities and Challenges of Higher Education and Research in Japan" in
collaboration with the Career and Professional Development Services (CPDS). The event took
place on March 7th at 10:00 a.m., aiming to illuminate the educational landscape in Japan and
explore potential avenues for academic and research pursuits. Professor Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul
Islam chaired the event.
Dr. Ashir Ahmed, an esteemed Associate Professor from the Faculty of Information Science and
Electrical Engineering at Kyushu University, led the session, offering valuable insights and
perspectives on the subject matter. Attendees had the opportunity to delve into the nuances of
higher education and research opportunities in Japan, gaining a deeper understanding of the
academic environment and its challenges.
One of the highlights of the seminar was the comprehensive information provided by a
representative from the University of Tokyo Bangladesh, who elucidated various scholarships
and opportunities available for studying in Japan.

Blood Donation Campaign with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society
The Southeast Social Service Club (SSSC) successfully organized a blood donation campaign with
the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society on Feb 28th at the university's ground floor (game zone).

IRT Organized Presentation on Submitted Research Proposals
The Institute of Research and Training (IRT) of Southeast University (SEU) organized a
presentation program on January 25, 2024, starting at 9:00 am in the SEU Conference
Room, featuring submitted research proposals.
During this event, a total of seven meticulously prepared research proposals were
presented, with the Department of Pharmacy contributing six proposals, and one
originating from the Department of Architecture at Southeast University.
The discerning evaluation process was carried out by a distinguished panel, headed by
Professor Dr. ANM Mesquat Uddin, the Advisor of the Board of Trustees (BOT) at SEU
Trust. Prof. Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor at Ahsanullah University of
Science and Technology, served as an external evaluator. The panel also included
members from the IRT executive committee. The presentations underwent a thorough
assessment with an interactive question-and-answer session, ensuring a comprehensive
evaluation of the proposals' merits.

CPDS and English Club Jointly Organized a Workshop on CV and Cover Letter Writing
Department of Career & Professional Development Services (CPDS) of Southeast
University (SEU) and Southeast English Club jointly organized a CV & Cover Letter
Writing session on 25 January 2024 at SEU Campus, Tejgaon, Dhaka. The
participants were final year students of English Department. Prof. Dr. Hasnat M.
Alamgir, Director of CPDS conducted the workshop. Ms. Jahanara Begum, Asst.
Prof. of English Departement and Asst. Moderator of English club delivered the
welcome speech and introduced Dr. Hasnat to the students. Students participated
in the group discussion and question & answer session spontaneously during the
workshop. Later, Dr. Shahanaz Khanam, Associate Prof. and Chairperson,
Department of English thanked all for making the session successful.

Southeast Computer Club Organized a Grand Meetup
Southeast Computer Club organized the Grand Meetup of 2023 of the club on 18 January 2024 at SEU
Campus, Tejgaon, Dhaka. Existing members including the executive committee of 2023, sub executive
and general members and faculties from the Department of CSE were present in the function. The
members joined the event with great enthusiasm and excitement. Mr. Mohammad Shohel Rana,
Lecturer, Dept. of CSE and Moderator, Southeast Computer Club; Mr. Mohammad Ashraful Hoque,
Assistant Professor and Coordinator, Dept. of CSE and Assistant Moderator, Southeast Computer Club
and Mr. Tashreef Muhammad, Lecturer and Coordinator, Dept. of CSE were also present in this event to
inspire the students.
The guests gave inspiring speeches and motivated the members to get involved in the extracurricular
activities. They also shared their experiences while serving the responsibilities of the club. Then they
launched the T shirt and cut cake for the event. After that members showed their creativity with song,
dance, recitation etc. Prizes were also given to them by lottery. The program inspired the new members
to work with dedication and strength.

Training Session on Leadership Development Held at SEU
Department of Career & Professional Development Services (CPDS) of Southeast
University (SEU) and Rotary Club of Gulshan Tigers jointly organized a training
session titled “So You Want To Be A Leader” for SEU Students on 22 January 2024
at SEU Campus, Tejgaon, Dhaka. Mr. Rana Dipankar Majumder, Deputy Director
of People & Culture (HR), World Vision Bangladesh conducted the session. The
session covered topics like attributes needed and suggested pathways to assume
leadership role in professional life. Rtn. Md. Ashrafuzzaman Nannu, District
Governor, RID 3281, Bangladesh attended the program as Chief Guest. Prof. Dr.
ANM Meshquat Uddin, Adviser to BOT, SEU Trust also spoke. Among others,
Director of CPDS, members and officials of Roatry Club and faculty members of
SEU were also present during the session. Later, 100th regular meeting of Rotary
Club Gulshan Tigers held at SEU Conference room.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the 128th meeting of the Board of
Trustees (BoT) of Southeast University Trust (SEUT) were held on Saturday, 30
December 2023 at 6:00 pm in the BoT Conference Room at the permanent
campus of the university in Tejgaon. Both the meetings were presided by Mr.
Rezaul Karim, Chairman of BoT, SEUT. BoT members discussed various academic
and administrative issues and took important decisions. The members of BoT
provided valuable guidance to the management of the university, reviewed the
progress of various activities and focused on future plans of the university.

Trade Commissioner of the High Commission of Canada in Bangladesh Visited SEU
Mr. Quazi Gulam Farhad, the Trade Commissioner of the High Commission of Canada in Bangladesh visited SEU on 28 November 2023. During the visit he met Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Adviser to BoT, and Prof. Dr. Hasnat M. Alamgir, Director of CPDS. The focus of the discussion was on higher education opportunities in Canada for SEU students and about research and faculty and student exchange programs.

SEU Signs MoI with Auckland Institute of Studies, New Zealand
Southeast University (SEU), Bangladesh and Auckland Institute of Studies (AIS), New
Zealand signed a Memorandum of Intent (MoI) on 27 November 2023 at SEU Campus,
Tejgaon, Dhaka in order to create mutual academic and research cooperation.
Department of Career & Professional Development Services (CPDS), SEU organized the
ceremony. Dr. Ershad Ali, Research Professor was present on behalf of AIS. Prof. Dr.
AFM Mafizul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Adviser to BoT, and
Prof. Dr. Hasnat M. Alamgir, Director of CPDS was present on behalf of SEU. The MoI will
support nurture the bilateral relationship between two institutions.

The 127th meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Southeast University Trust
(SEUT) was held on Wednesday, 15 November 2023 at 6:00 pm in the BoT
Conference Room at the permanent campus of the university in Tejgaon. The
meeting was presided by Mr. Rezaul Karim, Chairman of BoT, SEUT. BoT members
discussed various academic and administrative issues and took important
decisions. The members of BoT provided valuable guidance to the management of

Southeast Business School, Southeast University Successfully
Arranged a Networking Event with Putra Business School,
University Putra Malaysia
The Putra Business School (PBS) delegation made an academic visit to Southeast
University on its permanent campus at Tejgaon, Dhaka-1208. The networking
event between Southeast University (SEU) and Putra Business School was
organized on 20 th September 2023. The management team of Southeast University
enthusiastically welcomed the delegation, which was led by PBS Research
Program Director Prof. Dr. Human Hon Tat. The successful and productive
meeting between Southeast University and Putra Business School were attended by
the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. AFM Mafizul Islam; the Hon’ble Advisor to
the Board of Trustees, SEUT, Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin; the Registrar, Maj
Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed (Retd.); Prof. Dr. Md. Serajul Islam, Dean, SBS;
Prof. Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rahim, Director of BBA Program, SBS and other
departmental heads.
An informative session was also conducted by PBS authority to present the
detailed curriculum of the Ph.D. program at their university. Prof. Dr. Huam Hon
Tat, PBS Director of Research Programs, conducted the presentation event to
entice potential students to pursue their postgraduate studies at Putra Business
School, University Putra Malaysia. All faculty members from Southeast Business
School were present at the presentation session.
The session was an insightful and significant one and provided proper guidance to
the faculty members who are planning to pursue their postgraduate studies.

Institute of Research and Training Organized Workshop on “Writing Research
Proposal”
A workshop on “Writing Research Proposal” was organized by the Institute of
Research and Training (IRT) on 26 th October at 11.30 a.m. in room no. 215 of SEU
Permanent Campus. The workshop provided comprehensive guidelines on how to
write a research proposal and what are the key issues to win grant on proposals.
The workshop mainly targeted to engage young faculty members in research.
Prof. Dr. Serajul Islam, Convener, IRT Executive Committee, and Dean, SBS
inaugurated the session. Prof. Hasnat M. Alamgir, PhD, Director, CPDS and
Professor Department of Pharmacy, Dr. Kazi Tanvir Mahmud, Chairman and
Associate Professor, Department of Economics, and Dr. Farhana Ferdousi,
Director, IRT and Associate Professor, SBS conducted the session on how to write
a research proposal. Around ninety (90) faculty members from various
departments participated in the workshop. Directors and Chairmen of various
departments were also present at the inaugural session.
With active participation and question and answers, the program provided
practical learning and confidence among the young faculty members about their
future research plans.

IRT Organized a Presentation on IRT-Funded Research Projects
Institute of Research and Training (IRT) of SEU organized a program on research presentation
on October 18, 2023 at 11.00 am at the SEU Conference Room.
Progress on four IRT-funded research projects were presented by the following faculty members:
Professor Arun Kanti Guha, Dept. of Textile and Engineering, Nisrat Jahan, Assistant Professor,
Dept. of Pharmacy, Yesmin Begum, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Pharmacy and Dr. Sabiha
Ferdowsy Koly, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Pharmacy. An evaluation team consisting of
external expert, internal experts, and the IRT Executive Committee members attended the
presentations and provided extensive feedback to the researchers.
Dr. Serajul Islam, Dean, SBS and SASS & convener of the Executive Committee (EC) of IRT
and Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, Director, IRT and member secretary of Executive Committee of IRT
were present at the meeting. Along with other EC members of IRT, Prof. Md. Abdus Salam of
Dhaka University attended, as an external evaluator. Professor Dr. Hasnat M Alamgir, Director
CPDS attended as well as an internal evaluator.
With the active participation of the researchers and evaluators, this event assessed the progress of
the funded projects and enriched the final outcomes of the research findings.

Southeast Business School and Department of Pharmacy
Organized a Seminar Titled ‘Discovering Exciting Careers in
Pharmaceuticals’
In a collaborative effort, Southeast Business School and the Department of
Pharmacy joined hands to host a seminar titled ‘Discovering Exciting Careers in
Pharmaceuticals’ on Thursday, September 21, 2023. The seminar provided
comprehensive career guidance for individuals’ kick-start their careers in the
pharmaceutical industry. Focusing on fresh graduates, the event highlighted
the importance of making a lasting impression during their interviews and
emphasized on soft skills necessary to enhance CVs for increased recruitment
chances in competitive recruitment processes.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, the Hon’ble
Advisor to the Board of Trustees, SEUT. He underscored the significance of
collaboration between the corporate sector and academia in addressing
prevailing business and social challenges. He also expressed Southeast
University's relentless commitment to delivering quality education and
producing high-caliber professionals for the corporate sector of Bangladesh
and abroad.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Rafiqul Islam, Head of HR at Eskayef (SK+F)
Pharmaceuticals Ltd., engaged 127 students with his interactive speech. He
blended humor, real-life examples, and fact-based discussions to captivate the
audience. He placed special emphasis on undertaking part-time jobs during
student life, developing soft skills, and directed attention to emerging areas
such as business analytics, digital marketing, artificial intelligence (AI), and
block chain technology as promising areas of niche jobs. Prof. Dr. Md. Serajul
Islam, Dean, SBS; Prof. Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rahim, Director of SBS; and Dr. Md.
Siddiqul Islam, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy also shared their
insights on pursuing a career path in the pharmaceutical industry.

Southeast University Observed ‘Sheikh Russel Day 2023’
Southeast University (SEU) Observed ‘Sheikh Russel Day 2023’ a momentous occasion
honoring the 59 th Birth Anniversary of Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of the Father of the
Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On October 18, 2023, SEU organized a
discussion program and arranged a special do’a mehfil to pay tribute to the legacy of this revered
figure.
The event garnered esteemed dignitaries, including Mr. K M Khalid, Member of Parliament and
Hon'ble State Minister of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of the People's Republic
of Bangladesh, who graced the program as the Chief Guest. The event was presided over by the
Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. AFM Mafizul Islam and Mr. Rezaul Karim, Chairman of the
Board of Trustees (BoT) at SEU Trust was present as the Special Guest. Prof. Dr. ANM

Southeast Language and Literature Club Achieves Remarkable
Success in workshop titled “Speak in English Like a Pro: The Secrets of Effective Communication.”
On August 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM, Southeast Language and Literature Club
organized a workshop titled “Speak in English Like a Pro: The Secrets of Effective
Communication.” The workshop was conducted by renowned linguists and
communication experts Nujhat Afrin and Shusmita Hossain Khan as keynote
speakers. Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Adviser to BOT, Southeast University
Trust attended as Chief Guest in this workshop. Mst. Lizu Akter, Lecturer
Department of Bangla Language & Literature and Moderator of Southeast
Language and Literature Club attended the program. Over 100 students from
different departments participated in the workshop.
The aim of this event was to enhance the English language skill and
communication skill of the participants. In an impressive showcase of dedication
and commitment, the Language and Literature Club at Southeast University
achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully completing “a workshop on
English communication titled Speak in English Like a Pro: The Secrets of
Effective Communication.”
In the last part of the event, The Chief guest gave a memorable speech, In his
speech, Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin shared valuable insights into the nuances
of language and its impact on effective communication. After that, the former EC
members of 2022 and invited guests received the crest from the chief guest. Lizu
Akter, moderator of Southeast Language and Literature Club delivered vote of
thanks to conclude the event.

Celebrating T.S Eliot’s Birthday by Department of English, Southeast
University
On September 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM, department of English, SEU observed T.S. Eliot's 135 th
birthday titled "Celebrating T.S. Eliot: Dhaka, the Dying City". The 1948 winner of the Nobel
Prize in Literature, T.S. Eliot is highly distinguished as a poet, a literary critic, a dramatist, an
editor, and a publisher.
Honorable Advisor to Southeast University's Board of Trustees Professor Dr. A.N.M. Meshquat
Uddin presided over the occasion, while Dr. Mst. Shahanaz Khanam, Associate Professor and
Chairperson, Department of English, SEU, delivered the welcome speech.
Professor Dr. Shamsad Mortuza, department of English, University of Dhaka graced the
occasion as the resource person. He delivered an insightful speech about the late poet's
contribution to literature and enlightened the students present in the event.
The Department of English at SEU hosted the "Dhaka, the Dying City" photography contest and
the winners were awarded prizes by the distinguished guests. The students of the department of
English put together a vibrant cultural program as a part of the celebration. The event’s
convener, Ms. Nafisa Ahsan Nitu, Assistant Professor in the department of English at Southeast
University, delivered a vote of thanks to conclude the event.

Southeast University has celebrated the ‘World Teachers Day 2023’ on
05 October, 2023 (Thursday) through a rally followed by a discussion
session on “Accountability of University Teachers” and a cultural
program. The rally started from the ground floor of the campus in the
morning at 11.00 am and the discussion & cultural program was held
from 02:00 pm in the Multipurpose Hall of the university.

Stump Oratory 3.0
The Southeast Business Innovation Forum, in association with Excellence Bangladesh,
successfully organized a Public Speaking and Business Debate competition titled Stump Oratory
3.0.
Enthusiastic participation of students were seen from Southeast Business School in this event.
The primary aim of the competition was to elevate students' public speaking prowess, foster
innovative thinking, cultivate critical reasoning abilities, and provide a comprehensive grasp of
business deliberations.
The opening of the program was at 12:00 PM. In the first phase of the event, the initial round of
debate and public speaking competitions has begun. To determine the government and
opposition, each of the teams participated in a coin toss. The first phase of the debate
competition captivated everyone's attention and interest. And then two teams were selected
for the final round. Meanwhile, the first round of public speaking competition was going on
simultaneously at another venue. Six contestants were selected for the final round.
This event was graced by the presence of esteemed personalities as both guests and judges.
Zafar Sadiq, the General Secretary of Prothom Alo Bondhushava (National Committee), along
with Hasan Mahmud Samrut, HR Officer at Daraz Bangladesh, Salman Ahmed, Senior Executive
of Brand & Marketing at The Daily Star and Naim Muntazer, Marketing and Business
Development Officer, Excellence Bangladesh. Their presence added a touch of perfection to the
event and significantly contributed to its resounding success.
Some other special personalities were present on the event as special guests they are our
Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rahim, Director of SBS, S.M Raihan Uddin, Moderator of SBIF, Najifa
Tasnim Teesha, Asst. Moderator of SBIF. Their appearance made the event more
special. Commencing the second phase of the event, the final debate competition and public
speaking competition were held. Team "Dekhi ki hoy" got the ballot in the final debate and
became the Champion, leaving the Runner Up trophy for the team "Shoktishali".
And the last phase of the program was the award-giving ceremony . Crests were awarded to the
winners of Public Speaking and Business Debate Competition. The winners of public speaking
competition were, Champion - Miraz Alam Akib, 1st Runner-up - Md. Mohibullah Asif, and 2nd
Runner-up - Shahrear Faruk Johan.
The esteemed guests were awarded with the Crests. Afterwards the assistant moderator of
Southeast Business Innovation Forum, Najifa Tasnim Teesha announced the closing of the event
with vote of thanks.

Program”
On Thursday, September 21, 2023, Department of Law of Southeast University (SEU) in
collaboration with Southeast Moot Court Society (SEMCS) organized a program titled ‘Meet the
Leader’ at the SEU Multipurpose Hall, Permanent Campus Tejgaon, Dhaka. Prof. Dr. AFM
Mafizul Islam, Vice Chancellor of SEU chaired the program while Mr. AM Amin Uddin, Hon’ble
Attorney General for Bangladesh was present in the program as Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. ANM
Meshquat Uddin, Adviser to BoT of SEUT gave the welcome speech. An interactive question and
answer session were held, where students participated spontaneously.

Southeast Business School (SBS) Observes National Mourning Day 2023
Marking the National Mourning Day and the 48th Martyrs' day of the Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members, Southeast Business School
organized and observed a day - long ‘National Mourning Day 2023 Program’ on August 24,
2023 at the permanent campus of Southeast University. A discussion session was held on this
occasion followed by events like essay writing, recitation from poetry, singing of patriotic songs
and painting competition.
Prof. Dr. A.F.M. Mafizul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Southeast University was present in the
discussion session as the Chief Guest and Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Adviser to BOT,
Southeast University was present as a Special Guest. The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. Md.
Serajul Islam, Dean, Southeast Business School, Southeast University.
In the first half of the program, a discussion session was held and it was started with a welcome
speech by Prof. Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rahim, Director, BBA Program, Southeast Business School,
SEU. The chief guest of the program Prof. Dr. AFM Mafizul Islam mentioned in his speech
“The freedom we are savoring today is given to us by our Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Without his visionary leadership and unforgettable sacrifices, this
country could never see the light of independence. If he had not given us this independent
country, today we would not be able to come together in this Private University.” Special Guest,
Prof. Dr. ANM. Meshquat Uddin delivered a poignant speech unfolding the prominent political
career of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Prof. Dr. Md. Serajul
Islam ended the discussion session with an emotional memoir about Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman. All the faculty members, officers and students of Southeast Business School
were present at the discussion program.
In the second half of the program, students of Southeast Business School participated in singing,
poetry recitation, essay writing and painting competition, highlighting the aspirations of the
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Prizes were given away to the
winners by the Dean and the Director, Southeast Business School, Southeast University. The day
was observed with great severance and solemnity.

Workshop on 'Diplomacy for Human Rights Vis-à-vis Model United Nations'
The Southeast Model United Nations Club successfully organized a two-day workshop on
'Diplomacy for Human Rights Vis-à-vis Model United Nations,' which took place from the 15th
to the 16th of September 2023. The event featured a distinguished panel of seven resource
persons who shared their extensive Model United Nations (MUN) experiences and Human
Rights knowledge with an audience of over 100 participants.
The inaugural session on the first day was led by Ms. Mahapara Sanjana, Lecturer in the
Department of Law, in the morning. She comprehensively covered the fundamental rules and
procedures governing MUN simulations. In the afternoon, the esteemed founder president of
Southeast MUN Club, Adv. Sayeda Farhana, graced the workshop with her insights and rich
experiences in the world of MUN. Following this, the General Secretary of JUMUNA, Zarin
Tasnim Lubna, along with the Treasurer, Mr. Abrar Jahin, took the stage to deliver enlightening
sessions on various aspects of Model United Nations.
On the final day of the workshop, Humaira Anjum Oishe, an Erasmus Mundus scholar,
conducted a meticulous session on the position paper and effective strategies for researching a
country and its agenda within the context of Model United Nations. Following this, Rifat
Tamanna, a former research fellow, BSWS; LLB (Hons.) from BRAC University, delved into
the crucial realm of International Journalism with a specific focus on Human Rights issues. Her
session provided valuable insights into the intersection of journalism and human rights. The day
culminated with a session led by Mr. Arfan Ahmed, a respected Lecturer and Academic
Coordinator in the Department of Law. Mr. Ahmed explored the intricate dimensions of Human
Rights from the perspective of Model United Nations, further enriching the participants'
understanding of this vital subject matter.
These informative sessions delivered by various resource persons served to enhance the
participants' understanding of Model United Nations (MUN) practices and the intricacies of
diplomacy within the framework of human rights.

The Department of Economics, Southeast University (SEU) organized a study tour for students enrolled
in the Agricultural Economics Course to visit Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) on 23 rd August
2023. Faculty Members including Dr. Kazi Tanvir Mahmud, Associate Professor, and Chairman, Ms. Ruba
Rummana, Associate Professor, and Mr. Jamil Hasan Imon, Lecturer, all from the Department of
Economics, Southeast University (SEU) attended the study tour.
The students had the privilege of attending a session featuring Dr. Khandaker, Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Syndicate member and Dean,
Faculty of Agricultural & Rural Sociology, as well as the Professor, Department of Agricultural and
Applied Statistics, Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Professor, Department of Agribusiness and Marketing,
and Dr. Ismat Ara Begum, Professor, Department of Agricultural Economics, all from Bangladesh
Agricultural University (BAU) were present. Among the various locations the students visited, notable
spots included the Botanical Garden and the Germplasm Centre. These excursions allowed the students
to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). The primary

Relief Distribution of Southeast Social Services Club (SSSC) to the Flood-Affected People in
Pekua Upazilla, Cox's Bazar
On August 25, 2023, around ten members of the Southeast Social Services Club (SSSC) visited
Mehernama Government School located in Pekua Sadar Union, Cox's Bazar. They distributed
relief to 100 families, comprising more than 400 individuals who were affected by the recent

Southeast University Observed National Mourning Day
Southeast University (SEU) observed the National Mourning Day 2023 marking
the 48 th commemoration of Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman. On the occasion a Discussion Program & Special Dua was organized by
SEU on 31 August 2023. Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, Hon'ble Speaker,
Bangladesh National Parliament was present as the Chief Guest. The program was
chaired by the Vice Chancellor of Southeast University, Prof. Dr. AFM Mafizul
Islam while Mr. Rezaul Karim, Chairman of Board of Trustees (BoT), SEU Trust was
present as the Special Guest. Maj Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed (Retd), Registrar of
SEU gave the welcome speech. Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Adviser to BoT
and Prof. ABM Faroque, Dean of SSE also spoke in the discussion session.
Among others, Members of the BoT, Deans, Department Chairpersons, teachers,
officials and students were present on the occasion. The program ended with
prayers for Bangabandu and his family and the wellbeing of Bangladesh.

Southeast Computer Club organized “Acclaiming the CSE Dept. to the Fresher’s
Southeast Computer Club organized a two-day online program titled “Acclaiming the CSE
department to the fresher’s” for the newly admitted students for CSE batch-64 in the
Summer 2023 semester on 17 and 18 August 2023. Students from CSE batch-64
participated in that event. Three faculty members from the Department of Computer
Science and Engineering of Southeast University and members of the Computer Club
conducted the seminar sessions.
Students joined this session online. On 1st day Mr. Shifat Ahmed, Assistant Professor
and Coordinator of the Department of CSE gave the opening speech. Later, Mr.
Mohammad Shohel Rana, Lecturer, Department of CSE and Moderator of the club gave
an informative speech. 2nd day Mr. Shohel Babu, Lecturer & Coordinator of the
Department of CSE joined the session and encouraged the initiative taken by the
Computer Club President
Md. Mustakin Mahi presented an introductory slide about the faculties of the Department
of CSE. Sub executive club member Alumni gave a presentation about the Computer
Club and Club facilities. At the final session, Computer Club Vice President Md Rakibul
Hasan gave an informative presentation on how to operate the University Management
System (UMS). Also, he informed how to do course selection on advising time. About 400
students joined the program. After the seminar sessions, a Q&A session was held.

The 126 th meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Southeast University Trust
(SEUT) was held on Monday, 28 August 2023 at 6:00 pm in the BoT Conference
Room at the permanent campus of the university in Tejgaon. The meeting was
presided by Mr. Rezaul Karim, Chairman of BoT, SEUT. BoT members discussed
various academic and administrative issues and took important decisions. The
members of BoT provided valuable guidance to the management of the
university, reviewed the progress of various activities and focused on future plans
of the university.

Organized a Tour
Students of the Department of Textile Engineering (Evening Program) Organized a
study tour (SAFE ESCAPE Season 2) at Cox's Bazar from 21 st to 23 rd July 2023. On
the first day of their arrival there, all the students roamed around Kolatoli Beach
Point in Cox's Bazar. On the second day, they went to CAMPiNCOX resort under
the supervision of the faculty members, the students participated in a variety of
sporting activities. @DAAR-KAK sponsored polo-t-shirt as a costume in Safe
Escape Season 2. Engr. Md. Eanamul Haque Nizam, Assistant Professor, SEU, Mr.
Syed Iftakhar Ahmad, Lecturer and Mr. Md. Ebrahim Shaikh, Lecturer, SEU
attended this tour with enthusiasm which inspired the organizers and the
students. The tour was successful because of the effort of the SAFE ESCAPE
committee, which was diligently directed by the 6 th and 7 th batches of the
Department of Textile (Evening Program). The students agreed that this tour was
a refreshing escape and a way to strengthen their relationships with faculty
members. Several alumni of 2 nd , 3 rd and 4 th batches (Evening Program) also took
part in this tour.

Southeast Debate Club Became Runner-up in the Raju Vitorko Utshob
'Raju Vitorko Utshob' (Raju Debate Festival) was organized to commemorate the memory of
Shaheed Moazzem Hossain Raju. The festival took place under the initiative of 'Raju Vitorko
Ongon' and marked the 1st Inter-private University Debate Festival. The slogan 'Sing the Song
of Freedom with Logic' was adopted for this debate festival, which occurred on August 18-19
(Friday and Saturday) at the Stanford University campus.
The opening ceremony of this debate festival was held at the auditorium of Stanford University
on Friday morning. It was inaugurated by Professor M. M. Akash, the former chairman of the
Economics Department of Dhaka University. Also present during the occasion was former
organizer of Raju Vitorko Ongon, Md. Foyez Ullah.
After several rounds of intense debates, Stanford University emerged as the victor in the
tournament, with Runner-up being Southeast University. Among the debaters, Nafis Joy from
Southeast University was selected as the best debater.
On Saturday at noon, the concluding and award-giving ceremony of the festival was presided
over by Raju Vitorko Ongon's convener Rejoan Haque Mukta and led by the organization's
coordinator Hasan Wali. Speakers during the event included Professor Dr. Moniruzzaman, the
Vice-Chancellor of Stanford University, along with Hasan Hafizur Rahman Sohel and
Tahmidujjaman Soeb, both of whom are associated with the struggle of Shaheed Moazzem
Hossain Raju, and Rehana Akhtar, an instructor at Stanford Student Welfare. Al Mamun,
assistant professor and convener of Stanford Debate Forum, Mosarrof Hossen, co-coordinator
of the Journalism Department, and others were also present.
In the discussion segment, the distinguished guests expressed their commitment to realizing the
dream of social harmony of Shaheed Moazzem Hossain Raju, fighting against terrorism and
establishing an education system free from oppression.
Stanford Debate Forum and the promotional platform 'Torkojal' provided support for the debate
festival.

Southeast Debate Club Participated in the International Youth Day Campaign
"Break the Silence, Resist Online Sexual Harassment and Violence" - with this call, the 2023
International Youth Day campaign "Creating Safe Digital Spaces" concluded. Organized by
Radio Shadhin 92.4 FM, the 7-day campaign aimed to raise awareness and promote safety
online, in line with the observance of World Youth Day 2023. The campaign received support
from Right Here Right Now 2 Coalition, BRAC, and Knowledge Partner American International
University Bangladesh.
In the context of online sexual harassment and me... in the debate competition on this topic,
Southeast University student Mushfiqur Rahman Rahul became the champion. Naqib Muhtasim,
a student of American International University Bangladesh, secured the first runner-up position,
and Ashesh Laskar, a student of East West University, won the second runner-up title. The
victorious debaters were honored and rewarded. The audience, students, and guests present
discussed the current state of online sexual harassment, how comprehensive sexual education
can mitigate online harassment, raised concerns about law and complaints, and expressed the
role of youth in reducing online sexual harassment.
Lastly, with a commitment to ensuring the safety of women and children on the internet and
online platforms, the event concluded as part of the week-long celebration of International Youth
Day with the campaign "Creating Safe Digital Spaces."

Member Requirements
In an impressive showcase of dedication and commitment, the Language and Literature Club at
Southeast University achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully completing “the event of
member requirements” set at the beginning of the academic year. This accomplishment reflects
the club's unwavering passion for exploring the depths of language and literature while fostering
a sense of community among like-minded individuals. The Language and Literature Club,
known for its vibrant activities, intellectual discussions, and literary events, had set specific goals

SEU Signs MoU with Al-Arafaha Islami Bank Ltd.
Southeast University (SEU) and Al-Arafaha Islami Bank Ltd. signed a memorandum of
understanding (MoU) on 17 August 2023 at SEU Campus Tejgaon, Dhaka. The bank also opened
a cash booth at the university campus. The MoU will cater a bilateral relationship with the Bank
and the university. Prof. Dr. AFM Mafizul Islam, Vice Chancellor of SEU presided over the
ceremony and Registrar, Maj Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed (Retd), signed the MoU on behalf of
Southeast University. Md. Abdullah Al Mamun, Deputy Managing Director of Al-Arafaha Islami
Bank Ltd. signed the MoU on behalf of his organization.

Prize Giving Ceremony of SEU Intra University Programming
Contest Spring 2023 Held
Southeast Computer Club organized the prize-giving ceremony of SEU Intra University
Programming Contest Spring 2023 on 03 August 2023 at the SSE Exam Hall, Permanent Campus,
Tejgaon, Dhaka. The prize-giving ceremony was attended by faculty members from the
Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), including Mr. Shahriar Manzoor,
Associate Professor and Chairman.
The ceremony started with a welcome speech by Mr. Mohammad Ashraful Hoque, Asst.
Moderator of the club. Mr. Md. Mijanur Rahman, Asst. Professor of CSE department also gave a
speech related to problem-solving. Mr. Shahriar Manzoor then gave a motivational speech to
the contestants. Mr. Tashreef Muhammad, Lecturer of CSE department gave an overview of the
whole contest. The following contestants were awarded prizes in the Senior Category: 1st Prize:

Succession Ceremony of Southeast Computer Club Held
Southeast Computer Club organized the Succession Ceremony of the club on 03 August 2023 at
the SSE Exam Hall, Permanent Campus, Tejgaon, Dhaka. The faculties of the CSE department
and members of the previous and present committees were present at the program. Mr. Md.
Shohel Babu, former Assistant Moderator of the club expressed his experiences, and
appreciated the club's activities. President of the club executive committee 2022 Khondaker
Shahdat Hossain shared his journey with the club from the beginning. He inspired the students
to join the club activities and to develop their skills. Later, the previous committee members
were awarded crests and certificates for their outstanding contributions to the club.

Director of IRT Attended International Conference and Seminar in Malaysia
Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, the Director of the Institute of Research and Training (IRT), recently
participated in a prestigious International Conference held in Langkawi on 27-30 July 2023 and a
Seminar held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 2 August 2023. The event brought together an
esteemed gathering of social entrepreneurs, scholars, policymakers, and change makers from
across the globe to discuss and explore innovative approaches to address pressing social and
environmental challenges.
During the conference in Langkawi, Dr. Farhana moderated two panels on “Entrepreneurship
and Academia” and “Deep Dive into Social Business Innovation: New Economics for
Sustainable Future”. The conference provided a platform for thought leaders and practitioners to
exchange ideas, share best practices, and collaborate on sustainable solutions that bridge the gap
between business and social impact.
The Director's contributions to the discussions centered on the importance of holistic and
sustainable approaches in nurturing social enterprises, fostering social innovation ecosystems,
and addressing systemic role of academia.
The Director also presented a keynote speech in a seminar organized by the International Islamic
University of Malaysia (IIUM), Kualalampur on 2 August 2023. Followed by a seminar, Director
also presented the major research and academic activities of Southeast University (SEU) in a
MOU-preparatory meeting between SEU and IIUM.
The attendance of the Director at this prestigious International Conference and Seminar in
Malaysia signifies SEU”s continued commitment to advancing research, fostering international

Department of Career & Professional Development Services (CPDS) arranged an
Information Dissemination Program on higher study opportunities in Australia,
New Zealnad, UK, USA, Canada, Ireland and Malaysia in association with Study Co.
The program was held on 18 and 19 July 2023 at SEU Permanent Campus,
Tejgaon, Dhaka. 4 selected student volunteers from SEU facilitated the program.

SEU Students participated in the ADR Workshop Organised by U.S. Department of
Commerce.
Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce
conducted a workshop on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in partnership with the
Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC) at the InterContinental Dhaka on June 16,
2023. Five students from Department of Law of Southeast University participated in the
workshop on invitation. They are Selina Yeasmin, Jothe Akter, Farhan Abdullahi Mohamud,
Tahmina Akter Supti and Aranna Hossain Sakib.
In his inaugural speech, the CEO of BIAC, Mr. Kaiser Ahmed Chowdhury welcomed students
from various universities and motivated them to learn more about ADR. The main workshop was
conducted by Adam McWilliams & Elizabeth Wilson, Legal Consultants at Quinn Emanuel
(London), where the students learned about arbitration agreements, arbitration proceedings,
arbitration awards and enforcement as well as mediation process. The workshop was concluded
by an interactive question-and-answer session.

University (SEU) organized a CV Writing Session for the Students of Law and
Bangla Department on 19 July 2023 at SEU Permanent Campus, Tejgaon,
Dhaka.
Ms. Tahnia Shahid, Director of CPDS was the Resource Person of the
session. Mohammad Jahid Mustofa, Chairman, Department of Law delivered the
Welcome Speech and introduced the resource person to the students. Students
were given orientation about preparing their CVs effectively in modern method at
the workshop. At the end an interactive question and answer session was held,
where students participated spontaneously and opined that the session was very

Southeast University (SEU), Bangladesh and University of Portsmouth (UoP), UK
signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 22 June 2023 at SEU
Conference Room, Permanent Campus, Tejgaon, Dhaka in order to extend mutual
academic cooperation. Department of Career & Professional Development
Services (CPDS), SEU organized the virtual ceremony. Chris Chang, Deputy Vice-
Chancellor (Global Engagement and Student Life) and Joe Hall, Global
Engagement Officer were present on behalf of University of Portsmouth. Prof. Dr.

Southeast Business School Organized a Remarkable Program Titled “SBS Success Stories”
Southeast Business School orchestrated a remarkable event on June 14th titled "SBS Success
Stories" in association with Southeast Business Innovation Forum. The entire event was hosted
by Tasnia Alam Saika and Ashrafuzzaman Partho, two dedicated members of Southeast
Business Innovation Forum. The primary objective behind the inception of "SBS Success Stories"
was to provide our students with a wellspring of inspiration and empowerment by showcasing
tangible examples of entrepreneurial triumphs.
"SBS Success Stories" proved to be an exclusive event where we had the honor of welcoming
two exceptional alumni who have achieved great heights in the corporate world. Mr.
Mohammad Nurun Nobi, the Manager of the Sourcing Development Department at VF Asia
Sourcing Limited, and Ms. Shahana Parveen Borna, Managing Director & CEO of Scorpio,

The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by the Director of the BBA Program, Prof.

Start-Up Mindset
On May 18th, 2023, Southeast Business Innovation Forum (SBIF) in association with Excellence Bangladesh
successfully organized a workshop titled Start-Up Mindset. The workshop was specially organized to encourage
college students to become entrepreneurs creating a platform for them to shape their dreams into reality.
158 registered students from more than 20 reputed colleges participated spontaneously. Their active participation
brightened up the surroundings around the hall.
The entire event was hosted by Tasnia Alam Saika and Ashrafuzzaman Partho, two dedicated members of
Southeast Business Innovation Forum.
The workshop started with a welcome speech by Najifa Tasneem Teesha, Assistent Moderator of Southeast
Business Innovation Forum. Thereafter, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rahim, Director of the BBA program, presented
his informative speech to everyone. And then Prof. Dr. Md. Serajul Islam, Dean of SBS, delivered his valuable
speech to encourage everyone.
In the next phase of the workshop, some of the members of Southeast Business Innovation Forum who are
running their own businesses have shared their entrepreneurial journey and experiences with college students to
inspire and embolden them.
In the next phase of the workshop, Naim Muntazer, Marketing and Business Development Officer of Excellence
Bangladesh shared his insightful strategies for effective marketing and business growth.
Thereafter, Shahadat Hossain Dipto, Former Deputy Managing Director of Khan Bahadur Group, shared his
invaluable experience in navigating the business world and shared his journey with Global Gadget.
The workshop was further enriched by the presence of notable industry professionals. Nasima Akthar Nisha,
Founder & President of "Women & E-Commerce Trust (WE)," empowered participants with her inspiring
journey as a successful entrepreneur. Along with her, G M Kamrul Hasan, owner of "The Corporate Coach" and
former CEO of "Igloo" & "Sindabad.com," provided invaluable advice on leadership and achieving business
excellence. Additionally, the event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Advisor,
Board of Trustees who provided his inspiring insights and guidance at the end of the workshop.
As a token of honor the guest speakers of the event received crests from our respective Special Guests.
Afterward, the Moderator of Southeast Business Innovation Forum, S.M Raihan Uddin announced the closing of
the event with his vote of thanks.

CPDS Organized an On Campus Interview and Recruitment Session
Department of Career & Professional Development Services (CPDS) organized an on campus
interview and recruitment session for the final year students of Southeast University (SEU)
on 13 June 2023 at SEU Permanent Campus, Tejgaon, Dhaka. Bangladesh Skill Development
Institute (BSDI) offered internship opportunities and several full-time positions for SEU
students. Three member panel including Ms. Tahnia Shahid, Director of CPDS conducted the
interview session. A number of 15 students from different departments of SEU participated in
the session. It was a great exposure for the students as they learnt how to face an interview.

Southeast Computer Club organized “A Day with College Students”
Southeast Computer Club organized a program titled “A Day with College Students”
at the Southeast University permanent Campus, Tejgaon, Dhaka on 03 June 2023.
Students from several colleges participated in that event. Four faculty members
from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Southeast University
and Computer Club conduct the sessions.
The club members received the college students cordially. Md. Mustakin Mahi,
President of Computer Club delivered the opening speech and introduced our
university. He also informed them about the facilities of the department of
Computer Science and Engineering. Dr. Gazi Zahirul Islam, Associate Professor of
the Department of CSE gave presentation on “Higher Education at Country and
Abroad.”
Then Mr. Tashreef Muhammad, Lecturer, Department of CSE gave an informative
presentation on Competitive Programming, how to get started with CP, and the
importance of problem-solving. At the final session, Mr Mohammad Ashraful
Haque, Assistant Professor Department of CSE and Assistant Moderator of the
Southeast Computer Club gave an informative speech. About 100 students from
several colleges joined the program.
After the seminar sessions, the computer club conducted a quiz session. The
students participated in the quiz contest with excitement. Prize giving ceremony
was held after the contest. At the end, Mr. Mohammad Shohel Rana, Lecturer of
the Department of CSE and Moderator of the Southeast Computer Club gave an
inspirational speech and vote of thanks to students for joining the seminar.

SBS Organized “Meet the Leader Program” on 31 May 2023 Successfully
On 31 May 2023, Southeast Business School (SBS) of Southeast University (SEU) organized a program
titled ‘Meet the Leader’ at the Permanent Campus.
The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Hon’ble Adviser, BoT, SEUT, and Mr.
Syed Alamgir, CEO (FMCG), Meghna Group of Industries was the Chief Guest (Leader).
The program started with recitation from the Holy Qu`ran by Mr. Mohammad Azhar Hossain, Lecturer,
Southeast Business School. Prof. Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rahim, Director, BBA Program, Southeast Business
School introduced the resource person and leader of the program by emphasizing on his iconic life and
achievements. His speech was followed by the valuable speech from Mr. Alamgir, who has been named
“Iconic Achiever of the Year”. His other achievements include Best Marketing Director by Rapport
Bangladesh in 2002, “Retail Person of the Year” award at the Asian Retail Congress in 2014, and “The
Marketing Superstar Award 2019” by Channel I and Brand Forum. The Chair of the program, Prof. Dr.
ANM Meshquat Uddin, Hon’ble Adviser, BoT, SEU, then took the floor to thank Mr. Alamgir for sharing
his experiences and achievements. The program ended with the vote of thanks from the Dean of Southeast
Business School, Prof. Dr. Md. Serajul Islam, who emphasized on the importance of students getting the
opportunity to learn about the life and achievements of a great leader to help shape their bright future.

A Reunion of Alumna and Existing Female Students of SEU Held
A reunion of alumna and existing female students of the department of textile
engineering was held on 26 May 2023 at permanent campus of Southeast
University. The objective of the program was “To inspire existing female students
of the department of textile engineering, Southeast University by alumna of the
department”.
A good number of alumna and existing female students attended
the program. Students organized discussion a session and cultural program at the
event. Faculty members also attended the program to inspire all the participants.

On behalf of the Southeast University (SEU) family, a delegation led by Prof. Dr.
AFM Mafizul Islam, Vice Chancellor, SEU congratulated and greeted Prof. Dr. Kazi
Shahidullah, with flowers for getting reappointment as the Chairman of University
Grants Commission (UGC) for second consecutive term on June 5, 2023. The team
was comprised of Adviser to BoT, SEU Trust Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin,
Registrar Maj Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed (Retd), and Secretary of BoT Mr.
Mohammad Tarik Al Jalil.

EEE Department Organized an On-Site Visit at the DPDC
The EEE department of Southeast University organized an on-site visit at the
DPDC Shyampur 132kv Substation on 5 May 2023. Dhaka Power Distribution
Company Limited (DPDC) is one of the largest power distribution companies in
Bangladesh. Shyampur Substation is one of the biggest 132kV/33kV station in
Dhaka.
Forty-eight students from the EEE department visited the substation to gain
hands on experience. This visit helped them to relate the practical facts with the
theoretical concept. Students obtained knowledge about CT/PT connections,
lighting arrester and Relays, Circuit breakers, insulations, 132/33kV transformer
etc. Dr. Md. Asif Hossain, Engr. Abdullah Al Mahfazur Rahman, Md. Rounakul
Islam and Engr. Tawsif Hossain Chowdhury supervised the whole tour.

The Department of Textile Engineering Organized “Meet the Successful Alumni”
The department of textile engineering, Southeast University organized "Meet the
Successful Alumni" on 30 May 2023 at permanent campus. A good number of
faculty members and existing students attended the program. The program

Hon’ble Advisor to BoT graced the program as chief guest. Dr. Syed Atiqur
Rahman, Associate Professor and Chairman, chaired the program. Prof. Dr. ANM
Ahmed Ullah and Prof. Dr. Arun Kanti Guha were present as special guests. Engr.
Md. Eanamul Haque Nizam, Assistant Professor and Moderator, Southeast Textile
club and Mr. ABM Foisal, Assistant Professor delivered welcome speech and vote
of thanks respectively. Two guest speakers, Engr. Faysal Alam, Manager,
Merchandising, Poeticgem International Limited, alumnus and Engr. Suvro Dev
Saha, Head of Sustainable Production, Global Apparel GmbH, alumnus inspired
existing students at this event. Ms. Samia Jahan Tofa, Lecturer was responsible for
anchoring the session.
